THE POTTERS HANDS ⚱️

God in my waking
God in my sleeping
God in the center
Take my life
It is Yours
I am the clay
And You are the potter
Make Me
Mold Me
Transform Me
My Lord and King
I give you everything
I surrender it all
Use Me
Fill Me
Guide Me
Everything I am
And all that I hope to be
I give my life…
To the potters hands.

But now, O LORD, you are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter, and we all are the Work of Your Hand. (In this Passage is the gist of the great Salvation Message of Christianity. Only God can change the shape of the clay, thereby molding the vessel into shape and design that is desired, thereby mending the flaws and weaknesses.)

– Isaiah 64:8

Allow God To Use Your Weaknesses To Show His Strength

Last week in my Christian Women’s Group, during my live broadcast, we discussed several ways of being a confident woman of God. I wanted to touch on one topic from that discussion.

Being a confident woman of God is recognizing your weaknesses and allowing God to strengthen you.

I admit, that in my own experience my weaknesses are very frustrating at times. In my life journey and walk with God, I have come to realize that my weaknesses are just a reminder of how important it is to trust God and depend solely on Him. And understand while they are not pleasant I’m allowing His light to shine through the cracks.

The Bible tells us that “God’s grace is sufficient for you and His Strength is made perfect in weakness.”
Read – 2 Corinthians 12:9-10

If you have your Bible available, turn with me to 2 Corinthians- Chapter 12. Beginning with verse 7, The Apostle Paul is speaking about, ‘The Thorn in the flesh.’

I will be using my Expositor’s study Bible and have included the expository notes to give you a better understanding of each verse.

It reads as follows:

7 And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the Revelations (presents the reason for the thorn in the flesh), there was given to me a thorn in the flesh (I think it was all the difficulties of 2 Cor. 11:23-27), the messenger of Satan to buffet me (an angel of Satan), lest I should be exalted above measure. (This has the Apostle concluding this sentence as it began.)

8. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. (The Apostle knew it was the Lord allowing this, but He didn’t understand why.)

9. And He said unto me (the Lord responded, but did not agree), My Grace is sufficient for you (speaks of enabling Grace, which is really the Goodness of God carried out by the Holy Spirit): for My Strength is made perfect in weakness. (All Believers are weak, but the Lord tends to make us weaker, with the intention being that we then depend solely upon Him, thereby, obtaining His Strength.) Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities (because of the end result), that the Power of Christ may rest upon me. (If Paul needed so humbling and painful an experience of what the carnal nature is, it is evident that all Christians need it. Whatever weakens, belittles, and humiliates that proud and willful nature should be regarded by the Believer as most worthwhile.)

10. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, In persecutions, in distresses for Christ sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong (then the strength of Christ can be exhibited through me, but only when I know I am weak).
– ‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭12:7-10‬ ‭KJV‬‬

If being a broken vessel for Christ’s sake is what it takes for me to proclaim the truth of the gospel; while letting HIS light shine THROUGH the cracks…Then Yes! I want to be used as His broken vessel, and as a channel of living waters. For when I am weak, I am made strong through Christ who strengthens me.

Need I say more – I believe that explains it all!
God is so good! Thank you, Lord!

Love…

I wrote this piece two years ago not realizing at the time that this love that I dream of…
I already have…

His name is Jesus and His love is enough…

Love…
I dream of a love that believes in me more than I believe in myself.
A love where I can be totally and utterly myself.
Accepted and unmasked without fear of hiding any of the pieces of my broken heart.
One that seeks to help me mend the pieces back together again.
Patiently and without any resistance, lovingly weaving all the sorrow, pain and hurt into a perfect tapestry.

I’VE GOT A REASON TO WRITE

Today, on this blessed Sunday morning, I watched a sermon preached by Pastor J. Don George, on a message entitled, “I’ve Got A Reason To Preach.”

In listening to Pastor George message, he explained all the reasons why he preaches. I started to think about all the reasons why I write?

My mind started racing on all the reasons why I felt God has called me to write.

Was I writing because this was a gift given to me by God? Was I writing specifically for Him? Was I writing to glorify Him! Or was I writing for my own self-gratification, self-worth and desired accomplishments?

That sermon inspired me deeply. Here is my answer to the questions that I had asked myself.

The answer is simple. I write because I know God wants to use me as a vessel to spread His love to a lost and hurting world.

God didn’t give me the gift of writing so that I might be glorified, but rather that He might.

Oh yes, I silently wish in my heart that I could write as elegantly and gracefully as my favorite poet, “Helen Steiner Rice.”

I may not be gifted in the aspects that God gifted Helen, but nonetheless, God bestows certain individual gifts to each of His children.

And His purpose for those gifts given, only He knows. My gifts are no different.

As I have explained previously on my Facebook ministry pages, as well as in the ‘About’ section of this blog, I Write For Jesus!

I even wrote a piece of poetry in 2018 entitled, “FOR JESUS I WRITE.”

I write because God has uniquely gifted me to write.

God has given me the gift of words. I long to draw others closer to Him.

It is my deep desire to share that which invites us into truly knowing God’s heart.

God’s wisdom and His Word are transforming me as a person and as a writer.

Words are like whispers from God; softly spoken to my heart, so I must write.

Like all gifts from Him, I want to surrender writing for the benefit of God’s kingdom, a record for the next generation; as well, as for my own personal growth, testimony and journey.

A record of my walk with Christ and the journey He takes me on each and every day.

The lessons He teaches me through trials, heartache, and joys of life.

The challenges He sets before me through His Word and His leading.

To encourage and inspire as I am encouraged and inspired.

To share what the Lord places in my heart and mind.

Much like you, because of Jesus, I have a story to tell…about God’s grace and provision in my life, so I write about what God has done.

There is power in my story.

“Let the redeemed of the Lord, tell their story!” ( Psalm 107:2)

It is my daily prayer that God will bless my words to become expressions of His goodness.

Today, and always, may He use me as His instrument to inspire and spread His love.

It is my hope for others to experience God’s Truth through, “Expressions of His Love.”

May you be challenged, convicted, and encouraged as He draws you into a closer relationship with Him.

These are just a few of my personal desires and the reasons why I write.

There is much more to my story, which is often revealed through my walk with Christ.

When sharing my writing and/or poetry here… it is always with a gentle and humble heart.

My intentions are pure.

Writing for me peacefully brings me to the place of grace.

Where I can unashamedly express my heart…always with the hope that others will catch a glimpse of His.

All because of Jesus, I’ve got so many reasons to write.

You are always welcome to come along with me on my journey and I hope you find God speaks to you through what is written here and blesses you on your own walk of faith.

May you find rest in the unfathomable riches of His goodness and grace.
